The Company Seeks the Services of a Hose Technician x6

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Carrying out daily hose inspections on TM3 equipment.
  • Installing and repairing hose reels, nozzles and other gadgets on all service trucks and bays across the mine.
  • Operating workshop machinery and tools, cut-off saw, skiver, crimper, and pressure testing equipment.
  • Ensuring tools are clean and kept in appropriate places after use.
  • Adhering to established Safety Regulations and Procedures.
  • Performing machine audits during scheduled preventative maintenance service.
  • Ensuring machine audits are completed, signed off and filed.
  • Weekly reporting on hose consumption.
  • Ensuring adequate control stock in hose workshop underground.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
  • Craft Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair.
  • Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
  • Hose Technician Training Certificate will be an added advantage.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic hose types, fitting threads and size identification.
  • Adequate experience in manufacturing and assembling of hydraulic hose assemblies and sealing hoses.
  • Good Oral and Written Communication Skills.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
